No Update

Hey everyone - just letting you know there will be no real post today. Between the new Harry Potter coming out (I finally picked it up yesterday and am devoting my non-working time to reading it) and breaking up with NY Guy, I really haven't had time to throw something together for you. Give me a day or two and I should be feeling inspired and in need of a good vent.

In the meantime, here is another clip/song from Flight of the Conchords. (Are you guys watching that like I told you to? Are you loving it as much as I am? Anyway, this one is from a few episodes ago, but since it cracked me up I decided to share.) Enjoy.

Oops, the screen's kind of covering my links section. Ah well, sorry about that guys - I'd fix it, but I don't know how and frankly I'm too damn lazy.

Well that didn't take TOO long. What'd NY Guy (or more likely, you?) do? Or will that be the subject of a future post?

Sorry about that?

No, it will not be the subject of a future post - this one I think I'd like to keep private. I will say that no one 'did' anything (but thanks for assuming I was at fault - nice), we just didn't have a future together so we ended it.

Sorry....break-ups still suck, even when you know there's no future. Baby sitting and immediate break-up with boyfriend. Hmmmm...coincidence?
And btw, I'm with onthevirg. I was figuring it was you all the way!

Baby-sitting had nothing to do with it - what happened was basically inevitable. And yes, breakups suck no matter what.
Oh, and why is everyone blaming me? Also are you blaming me for being so impossible that of course the relationship had to end or are you blaming me for being the one to end the relationship? Just to clarify.

If I had to vote, I think I'd be leaning towards the former. You know, based up your own admissions of ...difficultiness.

And my vote would be for the latter. You didn't seem into him, seemed like you were stringing him along...so I just figured you'd end it.
Sorry if it came out wrong. Sounded funnier in my head than when I wrote it.

onthevirg: I'm a freaking AWESOME girlfriend - with the exception of the whole 'emotionally unavailable' (Christine's words I swear) thing. There's a reason I've never been dumped. So shut up.

jumpshootingfool: I wasn't that I wasn't that into him - I really did think he was great (still do) - it's just that he wasn't ever going to be The One (fuck that's cheesy), so yeah, I didn't want to waste either of our time. But it still sucked, and we're still working out the details - which is really cutting into my Harry Potter reading time.

I love how "breaking up with NYguy" was a throwaway line in this post. Like buying a pair of shoes.

In all (semi-)seriousness, hope all is well. Of course, I don't really understand why you won't share the details of your break-up with a group of hyper-critical strangers who constantly rip on you, but I guess that's just how you were raised.

Take care. Enjoy the book. Don't spoil the ending, or my wife will kill you.

I would NEVER spoil the ending! What kind of a dipshit do you think I am?

Oh, and thanks for actually throwing out some NICE words there about the breakup - it's proving to be a bit more complicated than I originally thought it would be.

Hey, Harry Potter is inevitably more important than NY Guy.
That 750 pages is sheer nectar.

Read on, Red.

Don't get used to it. I'm sure name-calling will continue tomorrow.
